I made the first Ekka in the last 7 years and I feel it has been a nice improvement, especially the fireworks. I still remember the first Ekka I went around one decade ago, I ate two strawberry sundae and I vomited right after that. What an experience. Still go for the remarkable strawberry sundae and the taste is just like the old memory.

Winter is a good time to celebrate summer. I miss the summer dress, the ice-cream wrap we remained on the dining table in the backyard, and the half beer we left in the bottle that we never finished.
I miss everything of summer, at the end of the winter.

Hello there! Cannot be more excited to show you all my new hair!! It is the first time in the past few years that I go this short. If being honest, not that short, but literally the shortest during the past five years.
I used to wear very short hair, like a bob cut and quite loved it. Then, I was like: how it's going to be alike if I go longer? After that, I just could not dare myself to cut it again. But this time is different. I want to have a shoulder length and see how it will be revealed on me!
I have a big big THANK YOU to Natashia from Bristle & Bones. She did not only helped me to get this cut, but also helped me to achieve the hair colour I had been always wanting to have. My original hair colour was black, and it's really difficult to get a cold tone without damning my hair. I'll have to say that Tash is the most honest and reliable hairdresser I have ever met. We discussed the possibility that my hair would still have a bit warm tone even if she applies the cold/ash tone on me and there we decide to give it a go and see how it looks. It turns out that I made the best decision by doing my colour with her. After chasing after the so-called TREND for years and years, I started to consider what I would like to wear today and everyday? Do I need those fabrics that constrain me in a special shape, which we called clothes? I guess not. I want to fit myself in something comfortable, yet makes me look chic and effortless. Better to speak for the inside ME as well.
Now it's a good time to welcome Simple The Label.
I had this idea within me since I was thirteen years old, while secretly making something by my mum's sewing machine. At that time, I didn't even clear on the word: Fashion/ Style. Chanel was yet too far for a little girl at that stage. But I did learn the whole story of Versace brand because my dad was a huge fan, and I reckon no one else could compete with. Really, the story itself was everything I knew and I could not understand the spirit of it. During those following 7-8 years, I misconcepted myself with the meaning of fashion by evaluating it on its monetary value.
At my early 20s, by educating myself with all the knowledge of fashion ( fashion is not easy). I had learnt how to question and add more value to the world. Lucky enough I did answer that question by working harder everyday than the yesterday. I wanted to create something that when girls wear, they feel comfortable, easy, and not deliberate. When they are wrapped by the fabric, they feel confident of expressing themselves other than pretending to be someone else. In another word, to be TRUE.
Here arrives the birth of Simple The Label, which explain all the inside me to the outside world.
Hope the simple cut and design could fit into the wardrobe of every girl and bring confident to you.xx

Being waken up super early this morning by the golden sunshine. I had something inside that I've been wanting to express for years. I decide to create something different, yet speaking for myself.
XNIHILO is one of those very local brands that attracted me since years ago. From then on, I became a huge fan. Create out of NOTHING. How brilliant this phase and how proper it express the inside me at the same time. No wonder it's love at the first sight.
For years and years, I had a struggle inside of me with myself in between culture based collectivism and self-developed individualism. I questioned myself for individualist along the way grow up, but till recently, I found I got a mistake in understanding the difference between individualism and selfish.
Individualism is about embracing the inner self, even you see something you have which is no like others. You don't even have to feel shame of being different, either feeling disadvantaged if you are not thought to be "pretty" from the perspective of the main stream. Because we are unique. Selfish is about selfish it alone, by taking advantage/ignoring others feeling just to benefit yourself. Then I laughed. I even studied culture for my business degree in university, but I still got so confused along the way. Because in the culture I grew up, individual sometimes means selfish. If we jump out of the rules that culture has written for us, think it out of the circle. What will it really be? That random moment I met XNIHILO, everything was explained.
Nothing.
The answer is NOTHING.
We shall be unique, we shall be independent, we shall be honest to ourselves. Even sometimes it will have conflict with others' mind. But it's totally fine.

Witchery's wool-blend blazer is my all time favourite. I'd wear it for a formal presentation, as well as building a casual look with jeans and sneakers. Because why not? Unlike some of the other blazers on the market, this one has black lining and so perfect if I would like to roll up the sleeves (that is what I do 99% of the time). Not to mention the fabric itself. The wool-blend material gives it a soft & smooth touch of the look, without taking away the clean cutting. Styling it by matching with a very soft cashmere knit gives a bit balance. Hope it's an inspiration.

Do we wanna a road trip in Tasmania? Yes, we do.
It was decided within one minute and ticked my "to do list". We happened to do a 11 day road trip that circles Tasmania, starting from Hobart.
Day 1- 24, Jun 2019: Brisbane—> Hobart
Departing from Brisbane around 6.30 a.m, we started the first day of our Tasmania trip.
Unlike our sunshine state, Tasmania is so cold and became a real challenge. We hunted our first meal in hobart just near our accommodation. If you come to Tas, cheese and seafood are something you will not miss for sure. So did us. The first meal we had was scollops with prosciutto, cheese platter, caesar salad and smoked salmon pizza.
We walked a bit after our lunch and headed back to hotel for a rest. I was so surprised that our hotel balcony could have a full view of the marine. Sunset in Hobart was another level. I literally spent the whole evening staying at our balcony and captured different moments of the sunset.
Day 2- 25, Jun 2019: Hobart —> Bruny Island
Be prepared to loose your signal and to detox yourself from social media if you visit Bruny island. I totally lost my connection to Internet when I arrived in the island. But think about the positive side: I got plenty of time enjoying the beauty of the nature. It was the first time in my life that I loaded a car myself to a vessel, the last time I had the same experience was with my parents when I was still 8 years ago, and of course, my dad was the driver at that time. Life list ticked!

It was not a long journey from Kettering ferry terminal to Bruny Island, which took us just about 20 min. The off-line google map would be so useful. Download before you go because the Hotel Bruny would be the only place on the island that you could access wifi/signal.

Day 3- 26, Jun 2019: Bruny Island —> Hobart
We barely did anything in Hobart on the third day of our road trip, because we spent the whole day just wandering on the island and left there by taking the ferry around 5 p.m. We arrived Hobart city in the evening to get ourselves a good rest and prepare for the trip coming up in the next day to Bicheno. We had no specific plan in Bicheno, as it is a stop-over point we set on the way to Launceston and did not want to drive a long time. There it becomes somewhere we could possibly stay for one night.
Day 4- 27, Jun 2019: Hobart—> Richmond Town—> Bicheno
In the morning, we decided to stop at the Richmond Town on the way to Bicheno. So we gave up the breakfast in Hobart, and decided to get a coffee and some sweet treats in Richmond. It turns out we got nice coffee and my favorite Lamington there.

We also stopped at the wineglass way in Freycinet National Park on the way to Bicheno. I took only one picture at the Coles Bay Lookout because the light was not friendly on a gloomy day. But it was still beautiful.
